Digital Video Production – Knowledge of film theory, as well as best practice for camera shooting, capturing and editing using various software packages including Adobe Premiere. In addition I learnt how to export video on various formats such as using Adobe Flash to create video content for the web or using DVD authorizing software such as Adobe Encore to burn projects onto DVD or Blu ray disc.
3D Animation for Multimedia - Theoretical and practical aspects of 3D modeling and animation using a variety of different tools and techniques within Autodesk Maya.
Principles of Digital Media - Photo editing skills using Adobe Photoshop, and creating interactive ways to display image galleries using Adobe Flash. Knowledge and understanding of the theoretical principles of digital media.
Web Design – Fundamentals of HTML based web design and using Adobe Dreamweaver to create effective well designed websites that included CSS styling and basic JavaScript and flash interactivity and animation.
New Media Management –Knowledge and understanding of the kind of tasks and responsibilities involved in project management. Key areas included team recruitment and management strategies, communication strategies, client and account handling as well as risk assessment, crisis management and copywriting.
E-Solutions – Fundamentals of being a good consultant and advisor to a client. Understanding current and future trends in the new media industry that is vital for the long term survival of a company.
